The City of Brussels called on Studio Fiftyfifty to develop a communication strategy with the goal of promoting the heritage that the main cemeteries of the communes of Laeken and Evere represent.
The main goal was to disrupt the often-negative preconceptions of these places and to invite Belgian and international visitors to take a walk around them and discover the rich heritage of their statuary and funeral monuments.
Working from a baseline slogan “Ceci n’est pas une cimetière” (this is not a cemetery), our Brussels-based communications agency created a fresh and colourful graphic identity, with a big role for images.
This new visual identity was used to produce posters, tourist booklets and thematic publications.Studio Fiftyfifty also managed the production of a vast photographic record of the main monuments.
